Dr. Miller
Dr. Charles D. Miller

Charles D. Miller, M.D., FACS , Medical Director of Rehabilitation Services, Advanced Regional Therapy

A fractured hip.  Torn shoulder cartilage.  Damaged knee ligaments.  The solutions he can offer for these problems may have changed since Charles D. Miller, M.D., began his orthopaedic practice in 1985, but the thorough, personal approach he takes has remained a constant. “No problem is small to that person who’s in pain.  I make sure I give my patients the time they need to talk through their options and get their questions answered so we can arrive at a treatment decision together,” Dr. Miller says.  A board certified orthopaedic surgeon, he brings a wealth of experience to those decisions.  He served as a general medical officer in the United States Navy prior to completing his orthopaedic residency at the United States Naval Hospital in Portsmouth VA. At the conclusion of that training, Dr. Miller was named to head the orthopaedics and sports medicine service at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.  Included in the broad scope of his duties was serving as team physician for the Navy’s finest athletes. After his discharge from the service, Dr. Miller returned to southwest Ohio to continue his practice of general orthopaedics and sports medicine, caring for patients of all ages.  He has a particular affinity for the communities in the growing eastern reaches of the Greater Cincinnati community. “This is home to me, and I find it very gratifying to be able to bring advances in both medical and surgical orthopaedic care to the families who are my neighbors,” he says.  Among those recent advances is joint fluid therapy to treat arthritis of the knees.  A graduate of Miami University, Oxford, OH, Dr. Miller received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and makes his home in Southwestern Ohio’s Brown County.
